Position summary
In the fifties, Café Americain had already established itself as a meeting
place for Amsterdam locals; today, it has acquired iconic status in our
beautiful city, which offers a truly phenomenal view on Leidseplein. This
well-known Art Deco restaurant is a modern brasserie that is breaking new
ground with a blend of ‘Class’ & ‘Classics’. From early morning till late
at night. Café Americain represents historic allure - according to the 21st
century. Excellent quality, an accessible style, and brimming with personality.
In addition to Amsterdam items on the All Day menu, we also offer Dutch
ingredients.
Everything is going well. Compliments to the kitchen staff are coming in. There is a great atmosphere. And you are an indispensable part of it all. Will you be joining our team as a stewarding/dishwashing employee? In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning the dishwashing area and for cleaning/washing kitchen and restaurant materials.
Primary Responsibilities
This job description reflects the position’s essential functions; it does not encompass all of the tasks that may be assigned.
- Scrape and rinse dishes, and soak silver.
- Ensure racks are filled correctly.
- Operate dish machine according to instructions.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays.
- Store tableware, utensils, pots, and equipment correctly.
- Place washing racks in transport trolleys.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Clean and disinfect sanitary facilities.
- Remove and sort trash and recycling into designated containers.

- A gross salary starting at €1.934,40* per month (based on fulltime employment).
